Store Manager – Full Time
Location: Madison, AL
Pay: $17/hr + Monthly Bonus Potential
Madison Home Furniture is hiring a reliable, hands-on Store Manager to oversee daily operations. This leadership role includes supervising staff, coordinating deliveries, managing vendors, and ensuring the showroom is organized, clean, and customer-ready. Our store sells furniture, flooring, and mattresses — with plans to grow, offering strong advancement opportunities over time.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations & Leadership:
- Open and close the store daily.
- Maintain showroom cleanliness, presentation, and organization.
- Supervise the sales team and delivery crew.
- Ensure all on-floor products are correctly tagged and priced.
- Assign and oversee daily cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Train new hires on store processes and customer service standards.
Vendor & Inventory Coordination:
- Place and track furniture and flooring orders.
- Maintain accurate records of vendor confirmations and lead times.
- Manage incoming inventory and warehouse organization.
Customer Service & Issue Resolution:
- Handle customer escalations, delivery concerns, and warranty claims.
- Respond to online messages and sales leads (Facebook, text, etc.)
- Ensure claim forms, delivery logs, and issue reports are completed and followed up on.
Delivery & Installation Scheduling:
- Coordinate daily furniture deliveries with the in-house crew.
- Schedule flooring measurements or installations (initially subcontracted)
- Ensure delivery dockets are accurate and filed correctly.
Reporting & Performance:
- Track store KPIs: sales, open orders, pending deliveries, customer issues.
- Conduct regular check-ins with team members.
- Support continuous operational improvement and team accountability.
Requirements:
- Experience in retail, store management, or operations (furniture/flooring is a plus)
- Strong organization and communication abilities.
- Capable of using POS systems, basic spreadsheets, and task management tools.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
